Spooky halloween with new wow! powders

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hi, WOW! friends! It’s Andrea with you sharing a fun, Halloween card featuring two of the new WOW! Funky Fossil Embossing Powders, Verdant and Blackberry.

I started by stamping Whimsy Stamps Happy Halloweeds stamp onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. I masked the image and blended with Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot Distress Inks. Once I was happy with the blending, I removed the mask and colored the image with Copics and added a few white highlights.

To create that fun patterned paper, I stamped Whimsy Stamps’ Vintage Wallpaper Background with embossing ink onto an A2 panel of purple cardstock. I sprinkled it with the Funky Fossil Blackberry Embossing Powder and heat-set it. Next, I diecut the panel with Spellbinders Essential Arches Dies and used a smaller die from the set to cut a panel of black glitter cardstock. I adhered the two panels together and affixed them to my colored image with foam tape.

To frame my image, I diecut two ivy sprigs from green cardstock with Whimsy Stamps’ Wild Weeds Dies. I pressed the sprigs into embossing ink, sprinkled them with Verdant Embossing Powder, and heat-set them. I repeated those steps until I had the coverage and dimension I wanted and then glued them around the arch. Finally, I white heat-embossed a sentiment, diecut it into a banner, and popped it up with foam squares.
