Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Looking to pack a serious punch on your next project? This bold, shimmering card is all about embracing texture and shine. I used the Enchanted Alchemy Mixed Media Embossing Powders from WOW! to create a full background panel—and let me tell you, there’s no such thing as too much embossing when it looks this good!
I’ll be making another card with the same full-panel heat embossing technique later this month, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
There’s No Such Thing as Too Much Embossing!
- Cover an A2 panel of cardstock with heatproof double-sided adhesive
- Remove the release sheet and pour over Mixed Media Embossing Powder from the Enchanted Alchemy Quad.
- Heat set thoroughly from the back of the panel.
- Trim ½ inch from the top and one side, then adhere onto an A2 Neenah 80lb base with an even ⅛” border on all sides.
- Die cut your large sentiment from woodgrain vellum and adhere to the panel using small dots of strong liquid adhesive. You’ll see the glue—but don’t panic!
- Trim a sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments Fab Foilers. Add colour by lightly swiping over a Catherine Pooler ink pad, then gently wipe excess ink away.
- Stick this sentiment strip across your large sentiment.
- To finish: Cover all visible glue dots with flat-back silver pearls. Functional and fabulous!
