Trick or Treat Greeting

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello! It’s Theary here on the blog again. Today, for Creative Colouring with Theary, I am diving into the holiday season and sharing a spooky card I created for Halloween. I am using Sheets & Giggles from Trinity Stamps, and I stamped that onto a black-colored cardstock with clear embossing ink.

I then went in with WOW! White Puff Embossing Powder and poured that onto the panel.
Using my WOW! Dual Speed Heat Tool I heated the embossing powder until it was nice and melted. The great thing about this embossing powder is that it leaves a puffed and raised finish when heat is applied. I then used colored pencils and colored in the images.

For the background scene, I am using October Skys from Trinity Stamps. I like this Halloween stencil because it easily creates an eerie night sky. I used my Blendy Buddy from Trinity Stamps and inked on white pigment ink. I also added gold paint splatters all over the card panel.

To create a little interest in the overall design, I used a border-stitched die and ran that over my card panel using my die-cutting machine.

For the sentiment, I used Halloween Trio from Say it With Stamps and embossed the die cut using WOW! Polished Gold-Super Fine. I pressed my clear embossing ink onto the die cut before I poured the embossing powder on top and heated it with my heat tool.

To finish it off, I adhered it to the top folding cardboard.
