Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Happy Wednesday Darlings!
It’s Jo here from @havefaithincards with a card packed full of Cotton Candy Sparkles and Joy 🙂 WOW! Have released a few new powders and sparkles this month. Have you managed to check them out? If not, make sure to head on over to the WOW! Embossing site to see if there are any new additions that catch your eye. This shaker card was super fun to make, so please read to find out how this was created.

- Background: Using white cardstock (I used Papermill Directs ‘White Linen’) and Time For Tea Designs ‘Flirty Flowers Cover Die’, run the two together through a die cut machine, then taking a light pink cardstock, cut to size to fit the die cut background and adhere behind the design.
- Shaker Element: Using the same light pink cardstock, take two circular dies and cut together to create a circular frame. Then taking clear acetate, cut to size and adhere behind the circular frame. Use double sided foam tape all the way around the reverse side of the frame, ensuring there are no gaps, then pour WOW! Embossing’s newly released Cotton Candy Sparkles into the middle. Remove the backing to the double side foam tape and secure the sparkles into place with a cut to size cardstock (I used a light pink glitter card stock for this). I then adhered the shaker element onto the middle of the background.

3. Sentiment: Taking a scrap piece of white cardstock, I applied some embossing ink, sprinkled WOW’s ‘Candy Floss’ embossing power, and set into place using WOW’s dual speed heat tool. I used Waffle Flowers ‘Oversized Joy’ die and cut one sentiment from white foam and one sentiment from the embossed cardstock, and adhered the two pieces together for dimension. I then used liquid glue to adhere the sentiment across the shaker element.
4. Images: Taking Waffle Flowers ‘Spring Time’ stamp set, I chose to stamp the images in brown ink for a softer appearance, coloured them in using Ohuhu Brush Makers, cut, and adhered them onto the card using a mixture of liquid glue and foam tape.

I hope you enjoy this creation 🙂 I had a lot of fun experimenting with the new WOW! Sparkle. Make sure to check out the new release and make sure to tag WOW! in all your creations using their products so that we can show some love.
Love, Jo
