Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello Darlings and a Happy Wednesday to you all. It’s Jo here from @havefaithincards. For Countdown to Christmas Day 6, I am here to bring some Christmas cheer with a design using a range of WOW! and Alex Syberia Design products. To find out how I created this festive design, please see below.
The Background
Taking a cream coloured cardstock and Alex Syberia Designs ‘Modern Stripes‘ cover die, I ran both through a die cut machine. Then, I adhered the background onto a base card. Next, using three pieces of WOW! Embossings ‘Superior Smooth White Cardstock’, the same size as the cover die, I inked each one with the Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink. Then, using the Dual Speed Heat Tool, I embossed each card with the following embossing powders: Firey Fun, On the Lake, and Pure Platinum. Once the cards had cooled off, I ran each card through the die cut machine with the cover die. Taking liquid glue, I adhered embossed colour stripes onto the background layer, alternating colours until the background was complete.

For the sentiment, I used Alex Syberia Designs ‘Large Merry Christmas‘ die. For the shadow layer, I die cut the shape on WOW! Embossings Fab Foiler ‘Solid Panel’. I then ran the shape through a laminator with some ‘Bright Gold’ Fab Foil on top. Isn’t the result so pretty and super shiny?! Then for the lettering, I used some white glitter cardstock and adhered this to the shadow layer using liquid glue. Finally, I adhered the sentiment to the background to finish off the design.
